MistyWoods Labradors is a small show/hobby kennel located in a small country town in south central Missouri near the Arkansas boarder. We strive to produce quality “English”/Bench style Labrador Retrievers. We like to produce an all purpose Labrador that fits everyones needs. Our Labs can perform in conformation, obedience, rally, agility, dock diving, tracking, field trials, therapy/assistance, as well as just being a wonderful companion to the family. We breed for temperament and soundness to pass on the best traits to the next generation of Labs. All of our Labs are AKC registered, have their hips & elbows certified by OFA, eyes examined by a AVCO and/or certified by CERF, also do PRA, EIC, CNM and HNPK. We bred our labs to adhere to the breed standard as set forth by the Labrador Retriever Club.

What's in a name.....
Our farm is named for the mist or fog that we often get in the mornings or after rain storms in our area. The weather changes often here in the Ozarks depending on the direction our weather systems that are coming from the north or the south. Many times when there are major temperature changes we get heavy fog which lays low on our farm since we are in the hollow. Hence, that is how we came up with “MistyWoods Farm” for our homestead. This is where our labrador kennel name came from. We have spring fed rivers here and it is often foggy or misty in the mornings when we go fishing. Also after a rain during the hot summer, when floating the river, we will get misty along the river.
